Upstate Forever is nearing the end of a 3 year grant cycle aimed at reducing bacteria and sediment pollution in the South, North, and Middle Tyger Rivers. To date they have provided financial assistance to 36 homeowners to repair their septic tanks. They say that they have limited funding available in this round and would like to extend it to homeowners in the area who may need septic assistance. They also hope to receive additional funding at the end of the year for another 3 years that will allow them to help more homeowners in the future.
